Doug Fir Board and Batten siding is a viable option for architects, builders, and homeowners looking for a natural wood exterior product. The wood is very strong for its weight and is one of the hardest and heaviest softwoods commercially available in North America. The grain will be typically straight and plain and will accept a stain nicely.
Doug Fir Siding Grades Available
The grade is #1 and better. This knotty product provides a rustic look and is kiln-dried. Board lengths are available in 8' to 16' random lengths only.
Custom Siding Colors
All Doug Fir siding profiles, including board and batten, are offered factory finished (prefinished) in one of our stain colors, primed only, or primed and top-coated with a solid finish. Our pre-finishing process will seal each board against moisture and protect the wood from harmful UV rays. The finish is applied to all six sides of the material (face, back, edges, and ends).
