To ensure your new siding will be protected from moisture and harmful UV rays, factory finishing all wood siding should be done with a high quality primer. We will apply one coat of oil based primer in off white or gray color to all six sides of each board (also known as back priming). The primer should be top coated within 60 days to ensure maximum performance and adhesion. Remember to seal all boards that are cut on site during installation to protect the wood and eliminate any chances for moisture to get into the wood siding. All primed boards should be kept clean and dry on site prior to installation. If you have any questions about our process or the primers that we use please give us a call.
STK - Select Tight Knot Kiln Dried graded to the rough side of the board (face side).
